It’s been a whopping 555 days since my last post, and I think its best if we just move on and get stuck in.
The last 1.5 years have been interesting, with many lessons learnt, many stories shared with interesting people, and the general evolution of self.
Without sounding melodramatic, some recent events have, yet again, served as a much needed “sanity check”. An indication that perhaps its time to evaluate and take stock, to slow things down, and most importantly, to stop trying to cram 10,000 todo items into a single 24 hour period.
This doesn’t actually mean I’m going to be working less hard, but instead I’m committing myself to making time to do more of the “non-work” things. The R&D, the building of new “things”, the “experimenting” with new tech, all that fun “distracting” stuff that I really enjoy – but that isn’t really considered “work”.
Making time to grumble, ramble, and share on the internet is one of those enjoyable little distractions, so I’m back.
In no particular order, purely as things pop into my head, here are some happenings from the last 555 days.
- I’ve rallied in a Citroen 2CV from Lloyds of London, to Casino Square in Monte Carlo
- I’ve been to Belgium, India, Istanbul, Monaco, Barcelona, and Mauritius
- I’ve launched 3 new companies
- I’m no longer a lacto vegetarian, I’m a vegan
- I’ve had an infection in the lining of my brain (meningitis)
- I’ve taken up running
- I’ve grown a beard
PS: As part of my house cleaning, to start things “a fresh” i’ve archived away all previous posts.
