How strong are these passwords?
Here is an approximation of how long it would take a brute force attacker to discover these passwords, based on their length and complexity.
10: 19.24 years 15: 1.49 billion centuries 20: 11.52 million trillion centuries
A brute force attack, is one where an attacker systematically cycles through each character used in a password. For the purposes of the above, I've assumed the attacker is making one hundred billion guesses of the password per second - very few people would have the ability to actually do this. In reality, most attacks of this nature would be limited to a few hundred guesses per second.
Using a tool such as GRC Haystack, you can test the strength of these passwords for yourself.
